"Annoying...Arrogant....Irritating...I understand. My friends are probably the worst about. James and Sirius enjoy causing migranes." Remus was more than delighted when he saw her smile. It was the first gesture of the sort since his arrival. Remus had to admit that it was one of the most beautiful smiles he had seen. "You should smile more often. The world isn't normally graced with such beauty."

Eliza bit her lip. Forcing herself not to blush. "Thanks." She said lookign down and pulling the side of her lips up into a half smile. "I would be so dead if my friends saw me here." She told him softly. She moved that she was sitting on top of the desk in front of him. She took a deep breath and studied his face. He had black hair and deep grey eyes. They seemed to hold more knowledge than he seemed to let on. "I like your name Remus. What does it mean?" She asked him looking back up at his face.

Remus used two of his finger, placing them under her chin, lifting her face into view. "Please, don't hide your face. How else will I can see your eyes." Her sparkling green eyes glistened back. It was a very lovely shade. He just worried why no one had ever told her this. "My name is Latin. It means either 'oar' or 'swiftness'. I prefer to think I'm swift rather than an oar..."

Eliza stiffened a little beneath his touch but soon calmed into a laughing state when he stated the origin of his name. "Well at least your name means something. I'm just plain old Elizabeth." She told him. She couldn't help it she had to look away, he just had this way of making her blush and she didn't know why.

Remus noticed her stiffening under his touch. He was ashamed with himself. He had jsut met this girl and as soon as things started to go right he went to far. However, she numbed his inner thoughts with her melodic laughter. "Actually," Remus began, opening his Muggle studies book, "when muggles use the name, it means a female in the light of graciousness." His grey eyes sparkled as he read. When he looked up, she was looking away. "I'm sorry, My dear, did I do something wrong?"

Eliza's cheeked flamed again. "Wow I didn't know my name was so special." She told him with a light laugh. "And no you didn't do anything wrong. Just thinking..." she told him with a small smile that light up her eyes.

A vivid blush could be found on Eliza's cheeks. This explained much to Remus. Instead of fear that his actions were not appropriate, he could now focuss more on her actions and hints. "You are much more than you give yourself credit for, Elizabeth." Remus stood up and walked to one o f her sides. "Might I ask what you are thinking about?"

Eliza looked down at her shoes, before back up at him. "Just about stuff..." Like why you haven't said anything about me being mean to your friends. She stated in her head. She didn't want to ruin this new friendship. She looked up at him. Her cheeks still a light pink.

Remus yawned. This was his earliest class. "Just thinking, huh? Well, thought are a personal matter, so I'll jsut let it be..." Lupin pulled one of his books to his lap to read until the professor arrived. "So ....ummmm," Remus scanned the room for a topic. "What's your favorite color?"

Eliza was startled by his sudden change in topic but answered him all the same. "Purple. Yours?" She asked him. She wondered if she did something wrong.

Remus smiled, "I don't have any perticular favorite color. All of them are unique and special. What's your favorite book?" Remus continue to change the subject, afraid that if he just stopped the convrsation would soon get awkward for her. Remus didn't want that.

Eliza smiled. "I don't have a favorite book. I don't read much. What is your favorite book?" She asked him softly. She bit her lip, and fiddled with her robes.

"My favorite book is anything I can get my hands on; however, I will refuse any to read anything that might cause anyone harm," Remus flipped the paper in his book as he spoke. He looked up at Elizabeth with his beautiful grey eyes. "What is your favorite witch and/or wizard?"

Eliza frowned she'd rather not answer that question, because she didn't know who she should say. She didn't know if their would be a right or wrong answer. "I don't know." She told him quietly. "Who is your favorite witch or wizard?" She asked him. She didn't know why she was still talking it was beginning to feel a little weird repeating things. She just wondered what he actually thought of her.

"Well, that award has a three way tie. James Potter, Sirius Black and Albus Dumbledore. Those three wizards have proven to me, in one way or another how amazing they are. Magic isn't just made up upon skills. It also extends to their moral and immoral actions." Remus explained his beliefs quietly, knowing this was the one of the places their conversations could go wrong. "How do you feel about me?" Remus's voice contained a quiet serenity. Somehow, it still contained hope.
